Those aren't sliders - they're rigging anchors!! Our Search and Rescue Team was doing some training yesterday and needed a convenient anchor for our high angle rescue systems. The sliders worked just fine.
Main line anchors were run completely around the sliders and the belay lines were anchored off the wheels. Wheels make a great anchor for rescue work and the sliders, after some careful consideration were deemed adequate to ensure a 10:1 safety factor. Upon later inspection, there was no movement in the attachment hardware.
The truck in its present configuration weighs just a hair over 6,000 lbs.
