Pretty good show. The rover guy is weird and their steering keeps breaking. Lol

3 toyotas out of 5 trucks is not a bad representation by Toyota - want the pig to win !!!

I watched it and... ugh. This is Alaska, right? Looked like all the rigs were unprepared, underpowered, etc.

Do any of these people air down their tires?

So you're told you could win $100,000 if you win this trip. Do you mean to tell me you don't fix and upgrade everything on your truck prior?

The Land Rover gets stuck in the sand and has to winch out. Anyone notice the SAND LADDERS on the roof? I guess somebody told him they look cool.

The "Super Jeep" is far from it. Falling apart, kluged... Seriously looked like he went to a hardware store and EVERY SINGLE THING THAT COULD BE BOLTED TO SOMETHING ELSE was grabbed and... bolted on. Either the producers had no idea how much a 350 v8 makes in horsepower or? 260HP? That's it?

The 1st gen 4Runner... I hang my head in shame. It overheated and you tell me you don't have any spare water??? Why is it overheating in the first place? No front locker? No snorkel?

Of COURSE the co-driver in the FJ55 is "that guy".

Overall I think it just reinforces the "wheelers are a bunch of stupid rednecks" stereotypes.

I suppose if it showed responsible, prepared, well-mannered people wheeling their rigs in the same way it would be boring to the great unwashed.

I would have expected more prepared/upgraded rigs for that kind of adventure. How comfy would you feel in that 4runner that keeps overheating, in Alaska!?

No kidding. What's the ambient air temp, 70 degrees? Sad.

I had no expectations because its TV and provides entertainment.

Iron pig and a mullet, what more could you ask for? The show was OK it beats the hell out of Top Gear U.S. But it does look like the producers were at a bar and said "anyone want 100k ?" so a few guy's put down their cigarettes and raised their hands. That was the selection criteria. I just don't want it to paint the picture that off roaders are a bunch of Bubba's they could go find some UTV/side by side riders for that.

At least it makes most of us feel like: "Hell, I could've done that!" :hillbilly::steer:

I used to watch "Mudslingers" on the Outdoor Channel - pure redneck fun!
