If you are going bigger than 35's get 17" wheels over 16's way more tire selection for 17" wheels.

Truck looks bad ass with the stock hight and 36's though. You can grind a bit off the rear calipers to provide room for the 15's depending how bad they are touching.

BTW never apologize for being Canadian.

Go big or go home!

I couldn't justify using the 36's when I was able to run them with no lift. I'm gonna go with 6" so the best fit I could see (from pictures mostly) was the 40's (39.5's).
They're pretty effing big though! hahaha

Hey, just curious... Have You talked to your insurance co. about the diesel swap? From everything I can find (including talking to my insurance guy), to keep insurance rates the same, you can only swap in an engine that was available for that model year from the manufacturer... You can of course put in whatever you want, but you have to go with a special class of insurance.

I just got my "southern" 80 as well, and will hphopefully be swapping in a 1HZ or 1HD-T, with no adverse effect on my insurance....

I'm not too concerned about that... Lord knows the adapters will NEVER be released! hahaha

What my insurance company doesn't know won't hurt them. I'll just write 1HD-T on the valve cover hahaha

Ok well, I'm spent. I'm also happy with what was accomplished this weekend.

Friday Night:
This is how she sits before the surgery.

Rear measurements

Front

Removed everything up front! (massive mistake. Should have lifted the whole truck first so I didn't have to jack it up with one side on the stands and NO suspension)

Rear lowered, pretty much everything removed that I have to replace or sleeve. (upper links are being replaced with custom, adjustable ones... or I'll just sleeve/Lengthen the OEMs for now)

Not much left, Friday night over!

Saturday Morn. Got the axle mounts all welded in. Just need shock mounts and its finished

Sunday

3 Link in and Mocked up. Final touch-ups and welding tomorrow!

Thats it for now. I'll finish up the suspension tomorrow night, then hopefully the beadlock rings will be ready and the truck will be up and running for this weekend! Not to full wheeling potential, but enough to drive around and work some kinds out (allow the bank account to rest)

nice work man, cant wait for the finished product! you are making me want to 3 link mine.

Nice work there; way to dive right in.
Looking forward to the finished product and your impressions.

Got a bit more done. Cell pics, not sure how good they are

14" travel shocks, the easiest custom shock mounts EVER. Rod Bless toyota!!! TJM 7" springs

Front on its own weight!

Gotta sleeve the track bar once I align the axle.

Rear just missing the Panhard. Its getting some paint put on it. 14" shocks in the rear too. And yet again. Shock mounts super easy to make with the beefy, well placed upper shock plates. Pretty much OEM mounting for those bad boys

also, can't get out of my shop... with deflated, street tires

Are those Pro Comp shocks? Are they gas? Can you give me the part #?

For sure man! Yeah they're Pro Comp ES9000 gas. P/N 932000
I'm sure you can see it, but just in case, they're eyelet top and bottom. But its easy enough to make some beefy mounts.
