Hi,
I just bought a '97 (oct 96) 4runner SR5 with the 5vzfe, 4wd, auto.
Just change the timing belt, spark plugs, spark cables, filters, cams seals etc.

I have read the owners manual and I have a question. It seems that this models comes with two sides of tires and wheel. 235/70/15 and other models with the 260/70/16.
I have the one with the 15 wheels and I would like to know what R&P and how big can I go with them.

Regards,

you probably have 390's or 410's. id be willing to bet 410s. are you planning on lifting it? you should be able to fit 32's on 15's or 265/75/16's with no lift. 33's require a minimum of 2" lift

A lift is not in the plans :)princess: rides, jejeje) but in the next change of tires I want a little bigger. The 4R looks silly in those 235/70/15.

Maybe a 31x10,5x15 BF AT would do the job. The wheels are 15x7. Thanks again.

If you have 4.10 gear ratio, you should be able to run 32" tires no porblem. I have 4.10 ratio with 16" wheels and running a 32" BFG Allterrain with no problem or noticeable loss of power.
