New to the area - Schoharie County

Going to be in your area just West of Albany and I thought I'd reach out to you guys. Should be there about a year. Thought I'd see if anyone is in the area and ask the obvious. How's the rust on these steel vehicles up there? I'm leaving the 40 and 62 out West here so the aren't exposed to the excessive amount of salt used on the roads up there. We are however bringing my wife's hundy, and even though it has more plastic than it's predecessors we can't help but worry. I've seen some clean rigs up there but I have also seen some real rust buckets. Obviously theres something to taking care of your things (I.e. Regular wash and rinse) but if there are any tips, I'm all ears. Thanks and hopefully we'll meet up soon.

Hey Phil,

For a years time, I wouldn't be too concerned. Make sure the paint is in good shape and you can hit the frame with one of the rust inhibitor products out there. That should take care of you for one winter.

We have a couple of club members in the Albany area and we do 2 trail rides a year about 30 minutes south. Check out the stickies on the top of this forum.
