This is great; why did I wait so long?

We just picked up a 2001 cruiser from a local used car lot after a national search. It was originally from Miami with 128,000 miles and quite clean. The dealer did quite a bit of work to it while I was patient during the buying process including complete sunroof rebuild, valve cover gaskets, and A/C module replacement among others things. Obviously, I still have things to do.

The truck had no spare tire or wheel, so I had them but 5 new BFG AT KO2's @ 285 75 16 on there with another stock LC rim, and it is an awesome set up with no rubbing anywhere- and not loud on the street. The spare fits after removing an awful after market receiver hitch (to be replaced soon).
By the way, any ideas on a good receiver hitch?

I sold my beloved Tacoma, and damn near cried, and I have the FJ62 that will soon be sold to consolidate my fleet. Don't worry my neighbors are well aware of my addiction to Toyota trucks.

I hope to get the tires dirty this weekend.
Before purchase and after purchase photos.

Thanks Guys.
This forum was my inspiration for deciding to do this transition.

Very nice rig. Looks to be in great condition!

I understand the sentiment of selling the beloved old vehicles that you've had for a long time. I often think about selling my '99 LC for something newer, but just can't pull the trigger since I've had it 14 years, and is still a nice truck.

Welcome to the club!! I also said what took me so long!! But we are here !! I sold off a 2010 Tacoma to buy my 82 FJ60. I restored it only to sell it to get a 100. Best truck I have ever turned a key on. On my drive to work this morning I was just thinking on how awesome my truck is. It's so smooth and quiet. With 200k on the clock it's amazing.

Welcome!

I used a Reese 44546 since I didn't want to cut a hole out in the bumper cover. 33" AT KO2 spare fits fine; I just have to push it back with my foot as I lift it up. Your LC is a pretty close twin to mine it looks like - just a bit older and with the OEM flares.

Nice truck. Ditching the factory running boards makes it look so much better.
