Couldn't pass on a great deal...

'07 2500HD Duramax Diesel w/ Allison Transmission

Just HAD to load up the 40 and give it a test run :) Couldn't hardly tell there was a trailer back there. Lovin' it already.

nice, very nice.
any modifications planned?

A tow rig is in my future, a little far off, but is something I need to get. Now it's time to tune it up. We added some parts and retunned my buddies 04 Super Duty back home in Cali. It is the strangest sensation to be going sideways with the tires burning rubber in a huge ass crew cab truck on 40 inch tires and 6 inches of lift.

Very nice!

Hey thanks everyone. Only mods will be to "de-chrome" it (including the wheels). It is Superchipped so no engine mods other than maybe EGR blocker.

W/ the "Performance" tune, this thing will smoke the tires at 20mph.

As far as towing two rigs, no problem - just gotta' get the trailer lined up. Rubicon is in my future at some point. Maybe 2-3 years once I have the ARB in the front and a couple other "little" things :)

Yeah I got a friend in Wilmington with one of these trucks (which he dumped a TON of money into) and his would almost outrun my Audi (twin turbo, etc, etc and was fast as h*ll). He could do burnouts in 4wheel drive...kinda crazy for a huge truck like that.

I think you need a bigger turbo, injectors, trubo back exhaust, etc...then you could drag race with the 40 in tow :D.

100% interested Martin!!! Call me.

You finally saw the light :).

I think a chip and some exhaust and you would be more than happy with what that thing could do. It is already twice your last truck.

Who knows maybe before you know it you will have a Mercedes diesel in the 40 with one of Luke's adapters in there.

Nice truck

I am running a Superchips unit right now that came with the truck from the PO. Amazing the difference b/w stock and the hottest tune - it's like two completely different drivetrains. I doubt I'll do anything else with it until at least the warranty is out.

After towing this weekend, I couldn't be happier. It's nice to set the cruise and forget there is a trailer back there! :)

Who thinks I could stuff a 6.6 in a 40? :grinpimp:

The 5.7 has plenty of room. So why not a 6.6  I'm sure there is an extra liter in that engine compartment somewhere. The lenght of the Automatic transmission may be a different story.

I have a nice ARE Touneau Cover I am trying to sell for 500$ that might fit that thing if your interested.
