New to me FJ73 in Australia

Picking this rig up in a couple of weeks. Stock-as -a-rock FJ73 with 3F and auto. Planning only bigger rubber, winch and an auto locker as it will be an occasional weekend use (historic rego) bush truck. Let the good times roll !

I have a silver one frp with an auto.
How many km's if you don't mind me asking?

400 and something I think. Hope the auto is ok......

mine had done 400.000 and something and the auto was ok. Impossible to tell if the auto was original.
The engine gave up at around 600.000 but the auto was still good. 600.000 kms for an a440f sounds a bit nuts, so it may have been rebuilt at some stage.
I would ask the seller if the auto is original.

Transplanted a lowish km;s engine [180.000] and auto recently and it runs like new. Very hard to find low km 3f's, I got lucky.
Extra trans cooler is a must if it hasn't got one. And check the quality of atf too.

Seller has had it 2 years and never used it, stored in a shed so I've got zero history. Fingers crossed, pick it up late next week....

Good luck with your purchase! I have a hunch MWB trucks are going to hold their value an probably increase in value.
Hard to find a reasonable one under $7000 au these days.
Would be interested to know how it is mechanically , and body/rust condition.
