Finally decided, after much deliberation, my next tires set.
I went with the Revos. They look great
Of course this thread would be useless without pics.... so enjoy

Good job!!! I've been real pleased with mine. I'm at 47,000 and still tickin'.

I'm probably going with revos on my 99 too, what size did you go with?

285/75 16's with 38 psi
They make the truck look like a "real" SUV.
Everytime I walk away from it I do a double take just to enjoy the view.
I felt like it was lifted a bit with the newer tires on.
Another step removed from the mall cruisers!:D

Ditch the running boards and it'll look a bit higher too.

Or better yet, just lift it. ;p

I wouldn't recommend these tyres for anything but the road. They perform great in rain and are conditionally acceptable for offroading. I've been using them on my last 3 trips with a fully loaded car (Tunisia & Morocco included a lot of gravel pists, Turkey was mainly paved road). I've had 3 punctures and rear tires have almost worn out. I've had them on for only about 45000 km!
As I've heared some bad opinions about Coopers, I guess I'll get myself a set of BFG A/T 265/75R16 123Q. Why use bigger tires? On Dakar most of the teams use 235/85R75 (including Mitsubishi) and fully loaded car weights arround 2400kg + driver and co-pilot. I understand those who use bigger M/T tires, and of course those who buy them to optically improve their cars ;).

Samo

Wish I could but I have a pregnant wife that doesn't want me to. So I'm saving up for the sliders.

For those running the 285 Revo's , how far do u air down when going off pavement?

Don't know about 100's but on my 80 I air down to 15 psi w/o issue (so far). I too run at 38 psi for normal driving.

I've taken them down to 12psi once. It was in a scenario where I was already stuck. I haven't had a need to do it too much. As a side note I'd add that you don't necessarily need to air down just because you are going off-road. Unless you are in a situation that you really think it would help it is overkill and exposes the sidewall un-necessarily. Take 'em on your trail aired up first and see what you think. You will probably find that you're fine with them at 38psi.

You will thoroughly enjoy the Revo's.

Thanks for the info.
