Picked up my 2001 last week in Denver. Drove it 1200 miles back to Calif. I'm the 3rd owner , the PO bought it in 2004 with 49k on it.

I was happy with the truck traveling on the long drive back seeing some ice, snow and rain as well as some blue skies. I traveled 70, 9, 40, 80, 395, 44 highways. Basically Denver to Salt Lake, spent the night and then on to Calif.

The TB and rollers were done at 90k. No fluid leaks. I have receipts for the work done. I need to do rear brakes asap, PO said they were done about 3 years ago. I removed the rear drivers wheel as i heard some noise and a clip was missing on the inner pad that led to failure also scouring the rotor. due to time i'm taking it to mr T's tomorrow for rear rotor's, pads, shims and clip kit.

I averaged 16.5 mpg, it ranged 15.5 on the 75 mph roads to 18 mpg on the 65 mph roads so that was a pleasant surprise as I had wind working against my most of the way.

Here's a few pictures, couple on the way home and one at home and with my 87. My 60 will be heading to Texas shortly to another member on here.

Looks great! I wish my wheels were that shiny.

The 60 and 100 share certain stylings that the 80 skipped. I like that photo.

Where did you pick it up in Denver? I saw one this color at a smaller independent dealer on Evans..

Funny I drove to California before Christmas to get mine and you drove here to get yours.

That is a great pic by the way, of the two rigs. I would love to have a 62 someday.

It was from a ebay deal, private owner was in aurora , south east newer area.

Somehow my wife cleaned em. i told her that brake dust was stubborn to the point i got out the laquer thinner which was cutting it slightly and then she came out with something that was non abrasive and a brush and went to town. Totally cleaned them up.

Bringing this to redding, ca and then a wash , wax and detail i think all corrosive action against the truck has stopped and its happy.

Glad to hear it worked out! It was nice of the PO to let you keep the license plates for the drive home too. :)

Yes it was, he was very cool. Sending them back this week. We figured less hassle on my way back.
