Hi Matt, finally getting around to installing this new harness but can't seem to find the wiring configuration. Forgive me as I'm not good with electrical but the wires are all color coded coming from the engine but the new harness wires are all solid white... Do I have to peel back the boot and trace wires to their connector?

Hi ,

There are several different color coded tracer wires variations during the entire 3F-E
production run application use in Land Cruiser globally 8/87-7/92

i use all white wires because on your end you can easily each of them using common oil base Sharpie Markers both for the primary Jacket base colors and the tracer stripes as well

Example : solid white w / black tracer stripe is ALWAYS NEG - Ground …… globally accross the board ….

Thx Matt, I ended up just matching wires by the connector. Once I pulled the boot back, it was simple.

Wiring diagrams scare me so this was prolly the best solution for my skill level. Appreciate your reply.

did you apply my pastel color tone oil base sharpie pens technique ?

i use this method all the time , also using it along with yellow or light green painters tape to mark both wires , vacuum hoses and beyond

its great bread crumbs / notes to re assemble and or trace parts back to home base locations \
