New Orleans Pre-Purchase Inspection Recommendations Needed ASAP! (willing to pay well!)

I have an offer in on a 100 series that is contingent on satisfactory pre-purchase inspection. It is at a dealership, and while they don't have a problem with an independent pre-purchase inspection, they are not going to reserve it for me in the meantime. I have substantial experience in the auto business, and I can't say I blame them for not holding the vehicle until I get around to arranging an independent inspection.

Given my predicament, I need someone to inspect the 100 series ASAP. I am familiar with the market for Land Cruisers and the price on this particular cruiser is very, very good. As such, I need someone who really knows their stuff and will be able to perform a thorough check of not only the the body and interior, but also mechanical.

As noted in the title, I am willing to pay well for someone's services.

What does a thorough check of mechanicals mean to you? Unlikely they'll let somebody do compression etc.

You should also state the year as some issues are pegged to specific years. The folks here may suggest specific things to look at.

I don't expect a compression test. More along the lines of checking if what needs greased appears to have been greased, checking the health of the steering rack, assessing suspension, & etc.

It is a 2006 Land Cruiser.

Well I'm sure you already considered taking it to a local Toyota dealer?? They offer in depth inspections.
