Well this week I start on some more maintenance. I ordered some stuff from Cool Cruisers of Texas:
1- Knuckle rebuild kit (Aussie version)
2- New hood bumper stops (adjustable)
3- New 62 series mirrors to replace my tiny 60 series mirrors
4- Tune up kit
5- Choke cable assembly
6- Cooling system hoses
The knuckle rebuild and choke cable will wait for our next club HAMOM as I want some supervision my FIRST time....but I did install the hood bump stops and when adjusted they helped straighten out the hood that had a definite lean on one side due to a missing rubber stop on one side and one that was almost gone on other. I will do the radiator flush and hose replacement in a week or two as well because a couple of my hoses are starting to bulge near clamp...so will keep the new hoses in rig just in case I need them before I schedule to do the swap out.
Then I did the tune up kit...new plugs, new wires, new air filter, new dizzie cap, new fuel filter, new rotor and also a new carb diaphragm. I did everything except the carb diaphragm rebuild as was not sure about that so going to get some supervision for that my first time....but did everything else. Like night and day with quick starts and smooth acceleration...
Last thing I did was replace the oem mirrors with FJ62 mirrors that are usually electric but come with a cap to fill in the hole in bottom so they can be used manual. Removed old mirrors...put on gaskets and new mirrors....popped in bottom cap and retention screw....adjusted....MAGIC. I can finally see behind me. They do vibrate a bit while driving so may try a nerf ball or some other soft foam behind them to try and stop some of the shakes but I can still see much much better.....hell after riding motorcycles all these years I am used to vibrating rear mirrors

They come in chrome, flat black, satin black, gloss black. I got the Satin Black as I thought it was closest to my OEM and would go with anything.
