Hi guys, I just bought my dream car...a 2000 LC with only 49k miles on it! I had to jump on it the second I saw the ad online, and bought the truck sight unseen after the Toyota dealer sent me cell phone pics of the truck along with the car fax report. Pretty stressful for me to buy a vehicle, especially a 15 year old vehicle, without having laid eyes on it but this deal was not going to last, so I made the commitment. It is 450 miles from me, and I am flying out to pick it up after the Thanksgiving holiday and then drive it home.

Thanks to this forum, I already have a long list of mods in mind. It is completely stock, and the dealer replaced the timing belt, water pump, battery and spark plugs along with performing the usual oil change service. Sounds like it sat in a garage for most of its life wihtout being driven often. Initially I plan to upgrage the radio, possibly to the Pioneer AVXH4600BT for pairing with my iPhone. I'm thinking about adding a back-up camera to that as well. I want to remove the step bars, black powder coat the stock 16" rims (or plastidip, but not sure how well that lasts on the wheels), add a round of 285/75/16 BFG ATs or Nitto Terra Grapplers, and add a compressor to start. After that? The sky's the limit! So STOKED!

Tried to post photos but as this is my first post I guess I need to wait a bit as photos are considered links?

Wow... 49k.. I was happy with 150k. Nice find. Pics when you can

I was amazed to find a 2000 with so few miles on it. I paid $19k for it, which was a similar price compared to other trucks with twice the miles I was seeing across the country over the last few months. I was the first to call the dealer about it, and they stuck with me, thankfully, even though I am 450 miles away and they had people making offers for it in cash that same day! Can't wait to pick it up and get it dirty! First trip will be the day after I pick it up, to Castle Rock in Santa Cruz for some camping and climbing.

Double wow. That's very nice. Congratulations!

Very nice. I bought my 01 which is identical to yours with 60K for 17k. Mine is a Midwest truck so it has your typical corrosion.

onpoint01, Nice Viszla! I have a 7 year old. He's a great dog.

Fortunately my LC is 100% Californian, so no corrosion (that I know of yet, since I heven't seen the truck!).

Congrats on the 2000, good looking rig.
I did plastic dip on my wheels and emblems, I like the look of flat black and plastic dip is really fun to work with.
Good luck picking up your new rig.

I plasti-dipped the emblems on my F-150, and it worked great. You haven't had any issues with the plastidip chipping at all from use on your rims?

Oh hey..ask the dealership if they fixed the cup holders in the back, it wouldn't stay closed when I checked out the rig..congrats again it is one nice LC!!
