Ok, will do for sure. Is the dealer the best place to get the coolant? I then mix it 50/50, and pour into the tank? Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I really have never ANY DIY, haha. Always had newer cars.

Ok, awesome. Thanks. Will do. Could something as simple as the radiator cap really cause all the fluid to leak out? I never knew, haha. I will hope the radiator is still good, I couldnt see anything wrong, just liquid everywhere.

Can the liquid coming out cause damage to other parts of the car, or is that not really something to be concerned with? Just trying to cover all my bases, thanks for all the info. I love the LX, I want to be sure it lasts a long time.

When you drive to Edwin try to avoid traffic time, you don't want your rig to overheat.
I live in Austin also and traffic is bad.

O, I know all about traffic, haha. I live downtown, it is a mess. I do not mind though, was used to NYC traffic before, 95 corridor is brutal. I need to handle my wifes car first thing in the AM, I am hoping her ML350 is just sending a faulty code, but who knows. She left it at work to be safe. I will then get some coolant from Toyota, or Lexus, and fill my car up...then drive over to Edwin.

I am hoping it is a simple leaking hose, or maybe just the radiator cap. I had never noticed a leak before, then this happened. I read somewhere that someone had low coolant, and the coolant being low actually caused the coolant to leak, that is interesting, doubt my case.

I did recently have the APPS sensor replaced, and asked them to clean the MAF intake while they were at it. Do any coolant hoses intervere with that fix, is it possible that they dis-lodged something? I was just getting use to having the Cruiser, now it needs to go away for awhile again. Booo.

Update.

Got the car to Edwin, at Land Cruiser Speciality. It was my radiator, it was original and had a crack. He ordered a new one, and Shawn replaced it and had it going again in less than a day. Runs perfectly now. Let's hope there is some clean running months ahead. Thanks for all the help!

I got a new radiator cap, and gas cap. Also picked up some of the Toyota premise at the Lexus in Austin. They actually said not to use the premix, on a 99', but I insisted. Not sure their reasoning. They were out of overflow caps, didn't feel like waiting on it. Other two are good to go.

As a side note, that Lexus dealership is amazing. I could live there. It is like a mall, and I can see why there were 100 people waiting at 2pm on a Tuesday, haha.

Love that dealership they even give you a new RX350 as a loaner for a oil change :)
Edwin is the President of the Landcruiser club in Austin you should talk to him and go to one of the monthly meetings.

I spoke with Edwin for a long time when I was by his shop. Looked over all the other Land Cruisers, too. Yea, that Lexus dealership is awesome. My wife was shopping, even found a pair of "touch screen gloves" she wanted, place is insane. I have never seen so many cars coming and going, there was a waiting line just to drop your car off, I can see why. It was a paradise, haha.

That's why in Dallas all the 100s are LXs and there are few LCs. Probably a10:1 ratio. Everyone wants the magic carpet ride experience of the Lexus dealership.

While I changed out the 02 Sensor myself, I do have Lexus change the oil. Moreover, it is nice to have documentation for that and the prices are not insane.
