Hello all, I am new here and just found this board. I just traded for a Toyota FJ45LV and hoped that someone could help with the year and maybe some guidance on restoration. I hope to get it back to my house in a week or so but I went up and took some pictures of it yesterday. The guy I traded ended up with this in a scrap deal and offered it to me for my old 54 REO Deuce and a half. He is still looking for the title, hopefully he can find it. Let me know what you think

Well I guess I cant upload any more pics and I cant get rid of these and resize them all. The ID tag under the reads FJ45-25180

Yes it actually does I live in eastern Washington where things stay a bit more dry. There is not very much rust on it, I stuck the camera up underneath and snapped a few pics and the frame looks very nice

I believe it is a 66, alot of that surface rust is just tht surface rust but you will be replacing steel here and there. there are a number of good build threads on this board go through buckoreuseses in the stickies at the top of the page. for an idea of what its guna take

Great looks as though I have about $500 invested in right now so I guess that leaves room for however many thousands it will take to restore it. I have been checking out some of the builds and it looks like this will be fun

Looking at the other pictures it has a locking gas door I was told it was a 66, looking forward to getting it home it is very complete. Engine has all of its stickers and original air cleaner assembly I cant wait to get it home

Keeping the patina?

No, I think its going to be a restoration new paint eventually. Now that it is out of the weeds it looks a lot better. It even has the old dog dish hubcaps on the front wheels. We just dug out the original rear seat and the guy I got it from thinks that he saw the other two hub caps. The engine turns over and I was informed that it was parked when the rear end started giving out. There is a replacement rear end in the back though.
