We just bought our first LC, a used 2003 in top condition ... people think it's a 2011 when they first see it. We're delighted with it so far, my hubby even got past the gas consumption issue after a test drive. We live in Indiana so expect it will be a real plus during our lousy winters. Now for the question:
I've read on here about trailer wiring feedback problems with the 2003. I printed a few of those threads to show our RV dealer who did the brake controller, but they want to see a TSB. I've looked for a TSB to show the RV folks, but can't find one that relates to that problem in particular. So far Toyota dealerships have been no help, either. (Big surprise there.)
I suspect these guys think I'm just a silly woman who doesn't know squat, but I don't want to risk blowing electronics the first time we tow our trailer. We've already had the trailer battery run down after sitting connected to the LC's wiring for a few hours, so I'm especially anxious now. Any help would be appreciated. Very much!
Finally, I'm so grateful for all the wisdom here. I've already learned so much and am glad to have a place to ask questions with folks who know this truck the best. The only problem - this site can be addicting.
