New to the 80 Club and to the Mud forum and reside in Brandon(042 nor 047). Took a while to realize this section was here. Recently purchased a locked 97 LX450 185k'ish miles. After going hunting in a buddies this Spring, I fell in love and had to have one. Found one in Atl and drove all night to get it and get back. Pretty clean and never been offroad. Since I got it back I have replaced pretty much all the cooling system(rad, fan clutch, hoses, belts, work idler pulleys, thermostadt, trans cooler lines, and the like) as well as slapped on an OME 2.5 heavy spring lift. Have yet to press in the caster bearings in the control arms(cold beer, pizza, and whatever else if anyone wants to volunteer help!!) I've got it in my head its harder than it is, but its intemidating me.

Anyway, looking foraward to getting it closer to what I want and attending some of the monthly meetings at the Cherokee as well as actually using it as a hunting and trial vehicle. I will say at the REK concert the other night, the 80's were well represented. I counted no less than 6 in the parking lot.

Oh, this guy is gonna fit right in. Anybody that drops REK and Cherokee in his first post is gonna be just fine. Welcome!

You drove right by me after picking up your rig! I'm an At Large member of the CottonLand, over in Hoover, AL!
When I say right by me... prolly literally, like a few hundred yards!

Welcome! Best Group ever is RIGHT HERE!

Welcome to the madness!

Yeah what Greg said! If you want a really good dose of this bunch then come on to the Crawl and meet the majority of us! You have already established that you like good live music and we are having 2 nights of good bands! Thursday and Friday night. You will have fun, won't go hungry or thirsty! Come on out on Oct 2-5 and see what CLC is all about.

^What he said. You won't regret attending a Southern Cruiser Crawl. The trail riding is great fun, but the people are even better!

Thanks guys. I may have to check that ride out. Looking forward to doing some camping and trails in it, but also my hunting chariot. October is usually a busy month getting ready for bow season! I had an 85 straight axle 4Runner in Highschool(31 now) and kick myself for selling it everytime I see one.

Trust us... ducks are there every weekend. The Southern Cruiser Crawl is not.... just try it. We are all diehard in one form or another... But after you go to the Crawl and emmerse yourself into it.... Mind Blown.

SCC is in early October so you'll be fine for Bow season. And Eric, bow season = Deer. Just sayin...

Oh my b! I was juss looking at his name and was day dreamin about that malt-duck!
