I recently purchased a 71 Fj40 all original. And am in the process of repairing. I do need both right and left front fenders. Would prefer no damage but can work with - depends. What about the new fenders that are for sale? Thoughts? Also would like to change the three speed to a four speed tranny. Will I need a new transfer case as well? Bolt up ok?

restoring a 71 and installing a 4 speed doesn't equate

you can search there and read until your eyes are tired

I'd go new oem fenders not the aftermarket ones

Thanks. Had to think about that, changed to 'repairing'. On the other hand, I may stick with the three speed, unless I come across a deal on a 4. I've been told that I would not like the 3. We'll see...And I'd like to have OEM fenders but the cost is double and then some. Maybe CCOT?
