Hey guys! I just became cool and got an 05 Lx470. I have 5 kids and the Suzuki samurari wasnt cutting it.
Just checking in with my first post. I added an arb compressor and fridge. Today i will be swapping my icom 7000 from my truck to my Lx. Pretty excited! Thanks for all the tips! Dont make fun of my side steps or i will leave this forum and trade the lx for an aztec. They loves side steps on the aztec forums.

Thanks it has been fun so far. I am impressed with how capable it is. I have read the ATRAC thread to try to figure that out but i think just getting out and figuring her out is the only way to understand that.

Welcome to the party. Sounds like you are on your way.

The running boards are tough to live without with small kids, but removing them makes a huge difference in appearance and ground clearance. I'm not sure how easily they go back on though, as the body molding on the LX clamp the top edge of the running board.

Keep the side steps for the family. My GF always complained about the height of my 60 series. Well, I wasn't about to lower it so I bought the 100 series. Now best of both worlds.
