When I just did this I unwrapped the wiring loom from the front indicator to where the wires join near the voltage regulator. I wanted to pull out all the old wires besides the indicator and blinker wires and wrap it all back up cleanly. The cruiser was made in 1968, and the wires inside the wrap still looked new and were very flexible. The unions Toyota put in were all coated in some old school dielectric grease and were very clean. The wire gauge before the split to the headlights is also pretty darn beefy. Now the H4's can shine!
