Nice rig. Can you post up some details? I'm currently building up my '03 and that's pretty much what it will look like.

So started with a stock base to work from. Picked up the truck in 2016 with 100k on it, currently at 129k

2000 Tacoma turd 5speed 3.4L w/rear locker

Wheels: stealth custom series F5’s 16’s w/4.5BS

Tires: Falken Wildpeak MT

Coms: (BaoFeng) Handheld ham and (Uniden 520xl) Cb

Interior: early first gen tacoma All Weather mats, 4runner limted leather seat swap.

Lift/suspension: Old Man Emu, 882 coils, Dakar’s with aal and shackles. SPC upper control arms. I did extend the rear brake line. Nitrochargers shocks

Armor: Total Chaos steering knuckle gussets, bumpers and sliders are homemade

Bed rack w/Ammo cans/hilift mount: homemade

Swing Out Tail Gate: Homemade but design is simular to Wilco off-road/ Tiregate

RTT: Eezi-Awn Series 3 1600

Other: Manual hub conversion, dorkel,
modified a swing case to work in the bed.

Other diy fab stuff: skottle, cb antenna mount, currently playing with a shock relocation mount design

OK thanks for that. Nice work. The ammo cans are heavy but genius and secure/watertight. I may have to incorporate them into my bed rack.

Thanks, I used the smaller size to keep weight down. They are helpful for holding all the small loose items. I think they are the 30cal at
3 3/4" W x 10 7/8" L x 7 1/4" H.
 
Yeah everything is in Cali so far. Mainly upland down the Sierras like mono lake area, sequoia and Stanislaus national forest to name a few.
Cool places. Just finishing on my truck built and soon I'll be hitting those sites too.
