Hey,

Just moved into Charleston, and am looking at picking up a FJ40. Do you guys have any recommendations for shops? Things like....

- Disc conversions
- Dash "rebuild" / modern gauges
- Power brakes / steering

Things of that sort....

Thanks in advance!

LexTech Automotive LLC on James Island...behind and just past skating rink and Jacks Cosmic Dogs on Folly...in industrial park...can handle all your mechanical needs. Dashes and such I would go by and talk to guys at Bendht Brothers Upholstery on Hwy 7...they do a lot.

Also, if you join local club then you can learn how to do your own work during the HAMOMs (help a member of the month)...Tristan did disc conversion on NZ FJ40 last year.

I have a 77' FJ40 for sale

Oh yea? Can you shoot me some info & pics?

I know. My son is going to need therapy.
I just don't get the opportunity to drive it anymore and my father is wanting his car back after driving it for so long. If I sell it then I can put a new roof on my house then try and get into a 100 series.

Hey Guys, also new to the area. I bought an 80 about a month ago and am definitely looking to get out to do some wheeling soon! Yet, I need to get the truck in a shop to get a wheel squeal checked out that just started happening. Would you guys also recommend the shop on James Island for an 80 as well?

Definitely. 80's are his favorite Land Cruiser and has 4 of them himself I think.
