New guy in San Antonio

Hey guys, I just moved to the area for a new job and wanted to introduce myself.

I had a 94 FZJ that I traded in a couple weeks ago on an 05 UZJ. I loved the 94 (3X lockers FTW!) but it was getting long in the tooth and I needed something newer/safer to carry the wife and dogs from SC to TX. I'm going to be living near the USAA campus off Fredericksburg Rd. and the wife and I are hoping to meet some new people.

Any good trails near SA that a stock cruiser could handle without any damage? We are looking to make a trip down to PINS sometime this week, is that expecting too much for a day-trip from SA?

Anyway, I'm not much of a mechanic but I love to learn and would always be willing to lend an extra pair of hands if anyone needs any help! Hope to see some of you guys around.

Thank you sir! We are loving it so far. Don't start my new gig until next week, so we are heading out to wineries in Hill Country tomorrow, and hopefully to Padre Island later this week.

Welcome! There are opportunities about for wheeling it's just a matter of learning where they are. Most land in Texas is private but there are a number of off-road parks within two hours of San Antonio that will fit your needs. Padre Island National Seashore is also an awesome destination.
