Hey guys, I just moved to the area for a new job and wanted to introduce myself.

I had a 94 FZJ that I traded in a couple weeks ago on an 05 UZJ. I loved the 94 (3X lockers FTW!) but it was getting long in the tooth and I needed something newer/safer to carry the wife and dogs from SC to TX. I'm going to be living near the USAA campus off Fredericksburg Rd. and the wife and I are hoping to meet some new people.

Any good trails near SA that a stock cruiser could handle without any damage? We are looking to make a trip down to PINS sometime this week, is that expecting too much for a day-trip from SA?

Anyway, I'm not much of a mechanic but I love to learn and would always be willing to lend an extra pair of hands if anyone needs any help! Hope to see some of you guys around.

If you see a gold Land Cruiser with South Carolina license plates, please honk or say hello!

Matt

Welcome! There are opportunities about for wheeling it's just a matter of learning where they are. Most land in Texas is private but there are a number of off-road parks within two hours of San Antonio that will fit your needs. Padre Island National Seashore is also an awesome destination. Drop by our next meeting if time permits.

Welcome,

Drop by our meetings , they are the 1st thursday of the month at Longhorn Cafe on Blanco near 1604.

Welcome! As others have said, come by our next meeting if you get a chance.

Sounds great, guys. I'll try to swing by! You sure a n00b with a stock 100 (including running boards :o) is welcome?

I think I've got the :princess: talked into letting me take them off, but I didn't want to have to move them separately. So I guess that'll be my first "project" now that I'm finally here.

I am not new to San Antonio, but I am the new acquirer of a 1976 fj40. I'd love to come on Thursday if that is ok; what time do you guys usually get together?
