Hey guys I posted under my other name before buying a rig. (Boostedred)

I ended up with the one that used to be Coreys I believe was his name. So far its been great. I have one problem I'm still trying to trace down. But I have not been able to give it full attention due to me taking it out to the woods and giving it hell.

I ended up having a tire go down after my last outing so I went ahead and put a cheap set of 35's on it until I can get another set of 38s ( not thornbirds).

Welcome again!

I see the new gen 4runners wheels fit nice.

Does the white 80 series belong to the owner of APE in Sherwood?

Yes that is jasons rig. I'm doing some work on it now. He ended up breaking a avm have hub that night of the picture.

I have inch and half spacers on my rig.( I think that's what they appear to be.) Makes the wheels fit nice. They are just not a wide enough wheel to stretch the tire. When I'm done with his I will turn my attention back to mine.

I thought I recognized it. He lives in my neighborhood, about a block away from me.

Now that you mention it. I think I have seen you cruise by a time or two. We need to plan a trip some where and do some wheelin.

I'm down for that!

BTW, Thornbirds = junk! lol

No argument with that my friend. They were on the rig when I bought it.

I USE to own a Jeep cherokee back when I was in high school/part of college. A buddy of mine was just giving some thornbirds away with about 40% tread left so I decided to take 'em. WORST decision ever. I hated those things. One blew on the interstate and I immediately ditched them afterwards.

After buying the cruiser I did some research and found they are junk. One night out on our lease with all different kinds of terrain. They did ok but couldn't handle the rocks of the dried up creek bed. Small spit in the center channel. The next day I put the 35's on. They are not one of the big name tires, but a fellow 80 owner has been running them with good luck. They are the Hercules trail diggers( plus I get a great deal on them through work).

I don't blame you.. Any tire is dam near better than a thornbird! lol

I laugh every time I go up to the parts counter at the dealership and see that old a$$ wrangler mt/r sitting there. It's probably even better than those thornbirds.

I recognized that white 80 also. Does Jason still have his other 80-Series? I think it was black?

Rig looks great by the way! We're y'all out by lake Maumelle in that first pic?

JWP

Thanks! That is the only cruiser he has. We were on his hunting lease off hwy 10. The second pic is on top of look out mountain across from lake maumell.
