Hey fellow LC owners! I just wanted to introduce myself and write my first thread by saying that I'm a proud new owner of a '94 LC. I live in Folsom and noticed you guys occasionally have meetups and gatherings. I can't wait to meet up with some of you guys and really enjoy discussing these great rigs! One question though, my LC has a leak somewhere (hoping it's just the power steering hose below the power steering reservoir) and was wondering if you guys recommend any mechanic in the greater-Sacramento area that could diagnose it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks again and :bounce: to many awesome future adventures!

Welcome to the addiction!
I don't know of any mechanic in your area but if you're up Grass Valley way Petersons Hybrid is the place. I've used him a number of times and he's always honest and fair and really knows his LC's.

s*** man, hit one of us up and bring your rig by. could just be a hose cracking a little bit. that happened to me. easy fix. welcome to the clubhouse!

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas! And yes, I definitely plan on wheelin' her... just want to make sure all is kosher before I do! I'm not sure how crazy I'll go since I want to keep her mostly stock (ultimate goal is to use her a bit, and eventually upgrade to a cherry low-mileage 80-series or 100-series). I'll probably just fix her up a bit (minor electrical issues such as power seats, sunroof, window, etc.) and upgrade tires and remove the flares and sidestep. She has factory lockers so I think I can have some fun with her:D. Anyways, I'm probably going to follow workingclasses' advice and take her to Peterson's so he could have a look. I've been researching HG leaks and such and, to be honest, it's been scaring the crap out of me.. But I've got the itch and I'm going to be a regular so try and keep the flaming down if I ask a noob question.. Thanks again guys and let me know if any of you ever want to meet up for a beer!

were always having wrenching days at one of our houses. hit us up if you wanna pop your hood and drink a few.

Welcome! Searching and reading the threads here will help you a LOT!

Quite possible that the power steering pump is leaking. Currently rebuilding mine (working on reassembly at this point). Working on these things are a breeze compared to other vehicles. Don't let the stories scare you - the HG is not that big of a deal and a right-of-passage! :D

Welcome. Looks like '94's are becoming a popular year, 6 different ones in just this thread :D

94 FTMFW. Lol

I'm new - poking around here too. Just finished the HG job on my 94 - and it's doable with FSM and the forum. Prior to this recent project I'd never done more than replace an alternator. I'm up in Placerville 2x each week and looking to maybe get more involved in a LC club. Definitely want to wheel my DD - that's why I bought it. That, and I use it to transport my 3 kids and wife camping etc. Hope your leak troubles are over. Go to toyota information systems and pay $15 for a two day membership. It takes about 90 minutes to download all the .pdf files for a FSM. BEST $15 I've ever spent!

Love the red LC - it's what I was looking for when I bought mine from a guy in Shingle Springs. Hope to maybe meet a couple local 80 owners sometime soon.

glad to see you found us. hope to see you on the forums and on the next meet!
