Saw the new Goodyear Wrangler AT at Walmart the other day. They look very nice- very aggressive for an AT. Just wondering if anyone has tried them yet, any opinions? Pics?

I am not aware that Goodyear has any "new" AT tires - at least nothing introduced in the last few of quarters. Which tire are you referring to? They only have a few AT's: The Silent Armour, the DuraTrac, the Wrangler AT/S (which is not available for 16 inch wheels in the sizes that are of interest to 100 owners) - oh, and they still make the old TD that was OE on GM trucks back in the 90's.

Maybe one of them is just new to Wallmart.

I have seen the tire you are talking about. They are very agressive for an "AT". I have seen them at Walmart too. I guess its possible they are only sold there....It wouldn't be a first.

The Wrangler "Authority", it's a Walmart-only special. Looks nice, but I've heard mixed reviews. Like the Duratracs, they seem to handle well in all conditions, but have soft and weak sidewalls. Again, that's just second-hand.

Just got back from elk hunting in the Badlands (western ND) and talked to a guy there at the gas station who had them. He said he liked them a lot (Dodge diesel towing a horse tailer). I thought they looked very nice. I had no idea Walmart had tires made just for them. I would very seriously consider these if I were needing tires.

They are not just wal mart brand. Goodyear is a well respected brand, wether they sell their tire at walmart or not. They are not walmart cheap either. Getting new 315's in the next week and was considering these. They are are about 30 cents cheaper than bfg a/t which are also very respected tires.

FYI, Ive decided Im going with the BFG KM2's.....

tires

Co-worker has them on his Dodge (fiat) diesel 3/4 ton and likes em' alot. He's a pretty hard driver offroad and said they hook up well and are fairly quiet on highway. He's only got about 10k on them now and they seem to be holding up well. I've been considering them for my 05 Taco but I'm going to see how his wear a little longer. He did not buy them at Mall Wart.
