Just saying hello. Got my FJ the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and am loving it so far. Got the black one. I've been on MUD for a little while, but on the 100 Series side. I got rid of my 2000 Land Cruiser and have come to the FJ side. Look forward to getting advice from you guys. Thanks.

Well the FJ is another kind of Land Cruiser, so you didn't really cross over :D
It's a retro of the old 2 door FJ models of yesteryear which stopped production in the early 80's - the FJ40. It is also modern, a real off road vehicle that is still on the side of comfort enough to make it a daily driver.

I like the 100 series as well, but now they got rid of it and brought on the 200 series which looks like a Toyota Highlander with a V8. Welcome to MUD!

No more 100?

Just curious, why not trick out the 100 series?, they are great on the trails.

I had a bad feeling about it. I felt like something major was going to go wrong. I know Toyota's will run forever, but it did have 150k on the odometer. There were a few things that it was doing that I didn't feel comfortable with so I traded it in. I'm not really an off roader. Or, at least not yet anyway! Plus, I just wanted something new, smaller, a little more fuel efficient, etc.

Congrats... this FJ is going to be a lot more fun then your Landcruiser... Not that the landcruisers are not fun... but this just a different feeling... you know!

I love mine... and I'm sure you will too...

Let THE MODS BEGIN!!!

Greetings!
I love mine and have never regretted trading in my pickup for the FJC. I plan on buying another one in about five years. A used one (maybe wreaked) and making it a dedicated off road rig, no on road use. That will be my summer project as I have the summers off!
Good luck to you.
