One day early this spring was driving up a logging road when suddenly half my exhaust system fell off the cruiser. I knew it was rusty, but not that rusty. Ended up with a pipe that ended under my driver side door for the next while. With it so loud having no muffler I barly used her. Eventually it broke right from the manifold and there was no driving the cruiser after that.
After humming and hawing about the possibilities of getting a new exhaust together, I ended up deciding to build a new exhaust myself. I chose to go with 3" stainless, considering the fact I would like to turbo the cruiser in the future. Using a total of 6 90° elbows and 8' of straight pipe and a Flowmaster Pro series 3" muffler, this is what I came up with (with the help of my brother and a couple buddies).
still having the stock manifold, I used the stock piece that bolts to the manifold and then went with a 2"-3" reducer.
