Please welcome new member #491 Nate Blankenship (@FlightMedic178).

Nate owns a -2003 Lexus LX470, 285/75/16s KO2s, Frontrunner Slimline II Rack.
and a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD OR 4X4, 255/85/16s KM2s, Avid Sliders, Pelfreybuilt full skid plates, Pelfreybuilt rear bumper, Softopper.

Welcome to the club Nate. Please tell us more about yourself and post up some pictures of both of your Toyotas.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the welcome and it was great meeting all of you at the last meeting!

As Mark said, I’m Nate, I have a 17 MT Tacoma OR and an 03 LX.

I’ve had the Tacoma since it was new and since I bought it I’ve tried to take it off-roading a couple times a week. My build progress has been more of reactionary than anything. I’ll try a trail, hit something, then armor that up! Skids were first, then sliders, lastly the notorious 3rd gen rear bumper needed replacing. So far it’s has got me up every trail I’ve tried.

I’ve had the LX for about 3 months now and have taken it on a handful of camping trips and a bunch of trails. I take it a lot easier on the LX so far while waiting to get armor.

Since purchased, I put on the Frontrunner rack and switched the stock 18s with some 16s from an 01 LX then added some 33s.

My 3rd ride is an 2008 Eurocopter AS350B3. I get to ride in the back seat as a Medic 2x a week up in Prescott Valley. The biggest perk of this job is scouting trails flying from PV to Phoenix or Flag.

And I think I’ve been on every single trail in my flight path. It’s pretty awesome. The job is a lot of fun too.

More about me, I have two boys, 7 and 5. We like to camp every chance we can. With my schedule we’re able to do so 2-3 times a month.

I’m really excited to be a part of this club and look forward to learning a lot!

Nate
