tare,

thanks for the welcome!:flipoff2: I will definitely try to make it on the next run. I am in the process of picking up a set of sliders right now and will hopefully have them on in the next week or so. I came so close to putting a rock into my door on my last run through gold mtn., I immediately began my pursuit of sliders. It was one of those "scared straight" moments. I haven't been puckered up like that in a long time.

Miles,
Enjoy those sliders - they have saved many times their value in sheet metal :hillbilly:

Now get some real tires

Hey Mike,

I got the sliders on tonight and they look great. My friend and I were marveling at them as we put them on.

I am working on the whole tire thing right now. It is taking a bit longer than I had hoped.

Great to hear Miles, but I'm sure they clash too much with the white exterior for my tastes ;) Now post a pic!

...and do you have any idea how annoying it is to get in and out of mine without sliders????

Mike,

Are you too high for sliders now?;) Seriously, you going a different route with the rocker protection?

Check out the For Sale section as Clownmidget (mike) who also lives in Riverside has some 1st generation Hanna Sliders for sale at a tremendous price (if he has not sold them yet). I think that you will find many Hanna loyaltists in this section.

Mike,
Do you need my address to mail the finders fee? :) :D :flipoff2:

Here are a few pics Mike. Too much contrast for you?;) I am impressed how they blend into the lines of the vehicle like an oem piece.

My dad thought I bought them from the dealer like an available factory option. I am trying to convince him to get an 80/100 as a second car but have not been successful yet.

Looking good! Smart move getting the sliders first, and you didn't have to drive very far either.

Miles, those are some beautiful sliders  :hillbilly:

Seriously, they look great and you won't be seeing many like those. Glad they went on so nicely. You will be grinning ear to ear the first time they save you some sheet metal and let you cruise through a tough section. Just remember now you have to worry about your xfer case!!! More decisions, more $$$ :o

edit: oh and is that Canyon Crest? Gotta get the mtb stuff going on too...

Mike,

That pic is actually at my moms house in Victoria Grove. Its that community at the corner of La Sierra/El Sobrante near Lake Matthews.

My house is near Canyon Crest at the base of Box Springs mtn., behind UCR. Another money pit but thats a separate story...

Its funny you mention the mt. biking as I will be re-assembling my NRS (Giant) this afternoon. Do you ride with RBC/Dirty Work?
