New Cree Reverse Lights / Tint

I have already upgraded my reverse lights to the Single 7W Cree lights. Big difference, but, now I'm thinking about tinting my glass and I'm considering switching to the new multi LED "as pictured below" bulb to help with backing up at night.

Has anyone else switched to the new style bulbs? Are they worth upgrading to?

I would also be very interested to know how these bulbs spread light compared with the single Cree bulb. I find on the LX I get a spot pattern compared to a flood pattern that would be more useable.
