is it really necessary for me to spend the extra money on new rear control arms with an ome 2.5 in? or auctally is anything else that isnt included in the kit(springs, shocks, and castor correction) necessary? it is my understanding that all the rear arms will do is eliminate the vibration. thanks

Rick is right....just wanted to point out that there are 2 sets of rear control arms. Upper and Lower.

It's the adjustable uppers that fix the vibration issues.

if you wheel your junk you will eventually want hd lower rear control arms. i've been trying to bust up the set i got from christo a few years ago, but so far they won't give :D

Some day I'll install my HD rear control arms...
They're still sitting in my garage after a year and a half. I'll get to them eventually.

So...no, you don't necessarily need to change your lower control arms.

You could send them to me and I'll make sure they work and test them out for ya....... :D

Sure, you can have them for free -- I will charge a hefty shipping and handling fee...:D

you already knew what I was going to say :D

Along these lines....I just had skid plates welded on to both Cruisers to protect the rear lower control arm mounts. I'm tired of ramming them off orad. As you wheelers know this is a vulnerable part on the Cruisers. It'll take an act of hell to mess them up now. It was cake to do too.

Man I could weld better than that......and I don't weld

Hell I could sneeze prettier than that! :D Good thing they're not overly structural or I'd be looking for a better welder.

I learned a valuable lesson long ago, mechanics typically(notice I say typically because there are always exceptions) aren't welders, and welders typically aren't mechanics.

Shotts, I have seen pic's of your bumper before and for the purpose it serve it is nice. Your lil skid plates are nice also, for the purpose they serve. I realize your not goin for aesthetics but more for functionality and hard wheelin. From time to time we poke fun at each others stuff, no need to get defensive. Did you really think no one would comment on those bugger welds?

I knew I was gettin drilled. The skid plates were a pain to weld though. It's because the stock brackets were uneven from dents and dings. He had to weld in other small steel pieces to fill the gaps so the force would be consistent throughout. It does make the weld look wierd and really thick (because there's other stuff in between). I'm an idiot anyways on this stuff. I don't know what a good or bad weld looks like. I can drive though. :)

"I can drive though." :) Thats what counts! Happy wheelin
