Looking for requirements to start another TLCA chapter. Already a member of FLCA and Upstate, but some of us local S. florida cruisers are looking to start a local chapter.
You need six card carrying members of TLCA to start a club. To keep it going you have to maintain four TLCA members. The website has the bylaws and SOPs listed that outline the specific requirements. Contact and work with Stewart Hamilton [stewhamilton@mindspring.com]. Stewart will confirm your bylaws (he will also give you some to copy if you want) and propose you to the BOD when you're ready.
The important thing is to have some fun. Your delegate on the Board of Directors (BOD) will be in the loop for everything TLCA. I hope to hear from y'all soon.

Thaks Nick. Helped write the bylaws for both FLCA and Upstate Cruisers. One last question: Can we have one TLCA delegate represent two chapters at the same time?
Unfortunately... no. This issue came up a while back when someone asked if an elected officer could act as a delegate. The bylaws are written for one vote per chapter, and nobody voting more than once.
Now... a delegate can report to the BOD for more than one chapter. He/She/It just can't vote more than once.
