congrats :)

pic link does not work for me

sorry about that guys. Can't seem to activate the whole link. Just do a cut and paste and it should work.

Just copy the whole thing into your address bar, then it'll work.

Did a search on this but couldn't find anything figured I'd ask at the risk of being given the newbie status and being told to do a search. Can you guys recommend what I should do first to keep my cruiser's maitenance going. Here is what I have done so far checked diff oil, changed brakes, changed oil. Any recommendation would be appreciated

change all fluids to synthtetic (2 diffs, transfer case, engine, ATF) --

-- then look up BIRFIELD for the front end knuckle repack and bearing replace -

-- enjoy!

I know the armour is kinda weak, since its the wifes DD I will keep it for a little while until I have enough for a TJM. Want to make sure I'm mechanically good.

look at the FAQ section at the top of the 80s list -- a lot of good stuff --

i love my '94 too -- but in a different way than i love my '91 -- and in an entirely different way than i love myself -- ;)

I have to admit it handles like a tank guess I'm spoiled with my SC runner just didn't expect this type of handling. When I picked it up I can barely go over 70. I'm taking it in to a local mechanic to do a top to bottom evaluation. I'll post what he says need to be replaced. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Eric - I don't think the board is interested in how you LOVE yourself.

Biff - as Eric said, you should easily be able to do much more than 70. Jeez - I was doing 75 with a 3500lb trailer hitched to my rear this past weekend, and that wasn't even going downhill. hehehe :D

You could barely get over 70 mph?! ??? That doesn't sound right. When I picked up my 91 (for $3700) I could easily get over 70 on the freeway, and that's with a 3FE. I can still get there (in the 70's) no problem (takes a while) with the 35's I'm currently borrowing.

Hopefully others will chime in, but that sounds like something might be wrong if you've got stock tires on there. . .

<edit> Oops I guess they beat me to it, but I guess at least I know my hunch was right.

why doesn't it cruiser above 70? are the rpms too high? is there engine bay noise? what's resisting?

I'll ask the mechanic. Seems like when I push the gas pedal it has a hard time accelerating.

Check your e-brakes. They have a tedency to seize on! To check, look at where the cable attaches to the bellcrank at the rear backing plates. There is a small rubber stopper that should be in contact with the backing plate when the brake is off. If either or both aren't touching then the bellcrank is frozen and just beat it back up against the backing plate.

Hey is that TRD sticker next to the shifter there for a reason??? Supercharger??? Or is it just for looks?
