It always freaks me out to see a stock height 62. I wonder what it is like to simply slide onto the driver's seat as opposed to the prerequisite pull-up to get into mine. Anyway, sweet Cruiser. Start the buildup!

nice.. keep us posted with upgrades as they come.

what do you have planned?

1st car?

is that interior brown like the tan 60's? ive always wondered, but cant really tell in the photo

and man that suckers clean. looks nice. i didnt know that 62s had an oh @&@&@&@& handle on the drivers side.

for now im gonna keep it all stock. not my first car, ive been driving a 94 land cruiser for 2 years or so.

also, ive noticed a clunk coming from somewhere that happens right when the tranny is shifting, u-joints feel solid, there is some seapage/leaking where the rear drive shaft meets the transfer case, i dont think its the output shaft because it doesnt really clunk when going from d to reverse etc. what could this clunking be? coming from tranny?

Best advice I ever got regarding tranny issues: go ahead and drain the tranny fluid and fill it with synthetic. Drive it around to let it warm up, then repeat. Pulling the pan and replacing the filter is a good idea too. Do you know how old the tranny fluid is?

I never had a clunk in my automatic, but changing the fluid made everything smoother.

Good luck and congrats!

get under there and lube up the d-shafts, might help. always good to get the cheap stuff checked first IMHO.

yeah ill definitely do that, also it seems like the clunk is happening less often now so we will see how it goes

as of right now i cant do anything at all as it is sitting at the toyota dealership =( one of the bolts broke in half that holds the thermostat housing on when i was trying to replace it...

thanks for the compliments and help tho

oh and whoever asked about the interior color, you were correct, it is not brown, it has a dark bluish tint to it. really nice.

Looks very clean and nice.
Have nice land cruising !
