Hey everyone. Thought I would share my first Tundra. Picked it up a week ago 2019 Super White TRD sport 4x4. Already swapped the wheels and tires because it came with 20s and street tires. Which are for sale in the classifieds. Anyways here she is!

Nice ! I bought a CPO 15 limited last year and couldn’t be happier. Enjoy !

Does the hood scoop function or is it just for looks?

It’s just for looks. I bought the sport because it drove better than the SR5 4x4 and everything was painted. No chrome is nice.

I thought the double faux hoodscoops we're the TRD Pro only... Guess that was just for the 2018's?

I had a 14 Platinum. Loved it. Miss that thing. When I heard the “new” one was coming out, I was expecting a little more than the addition of a non functional hood scoop, on the already existing non functional hood scoop.
Either way they’re nice. Congrats on the buy, enjoy it!

Yeah it seems like the NEW tundra is way over do. They just keep “refreshing it”. I contemplated waiting until the redesign but I keep hearing that it’s next year or the year after. Decided to just pull the trigger. Also I feel like Toyota May get rid of the 5.7 V8. Just like FORD Nixed the 6.2 for the raptor. I don’t want a v6 or a hybrid tundra haha

Nice rig!

I hear you on the 5.7. I've wondered same thing - are they gonna scrub it?

+1

I was happy getting a ‘12 since they had the body a few yrs, and like you - I expect the whole small displacement/turbo is going to get more common.

It may work well, but I like the 5.7 displacement & TQ over anything else.
And timing chain motors > anything timing belted (my gripe about 2UZ’s).

And we’ve already seen Tundras doing the Flex Fuel thing, so IMO they are looking more in that direction than EVER giving us a Tundra with glowplugs.
