Hi all. New to the board. Nice to be back since my 2000 LC100. Bought (stole!) a Silver/Charcoal Option B and CC package with 419 miles! Thrilled to have it so far with 900 miles on the clock.

I have the upgraded JBL but no Sat radio or iPod integration. Can both be installed together? Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Gregg

More SAT and iPod Questions

Thanks for these links. Very helpful. I am still interested in hearing from anyone who has installed BOTH the SAT and iPOD integration packages together. Do they work? How do you toggle between the two? Is is it worth the $$$ or would folks just recommend the AUX plug for the iPOD?

Any opinions on having the Toyota Dealer do the install of the Toyota product ($550 for the XM or Sirius) or a local stereo shop with the aftermarket ($400)? It looks like a pretty hairy install and maybe its best done at the Toyota shop so I have recourse under my warranty?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Gregg

The XM or Sirius module works off the SAT button while the IPOD is recognized as a DVD Changer. I have the Sirius module. I purchased it and had the dealership install it. The AUX jack lets you control the IPOD from the IPOD while the module displays the info on the screen. Correct me if I am wrong, but the only way to get to music on the nav screen is by organizing your music into playlists. For $300 + install, I so rarely use my IPOD I simply use the AUX jack...but YMMV.

I just use a dual input adapter and use the AUX input......much easier for me.

Is your dual for Sirius and Ipod? Or HAM and CB? :)

Sirius and Ipod. I basically just plug in the one I want to listen to....simple as that.

I have never liked the 'built in' sat radio displays. My sportster gives me tons more info etc. I like being able to see what is on another channel without actually changing to it first.
