Hey guys, new 100 owner here.

started in a 62, then an FJC , then a 60
and now in a 100 series.

picked up a 99 with a rear locker, and runs perfect except the annoying seat belt light keeps flashing even though I'm buckled in.

is this a common issue? hoping it's an easy fix.... any one have this problem?

thanks
Kevin

I remember having this same issue in an old Ford Explorer I had years go... If it's a similar setup, then there's a little sensor actually built into the latch housing itself. If you can get there, you may be able to make an adjustment, otherwise perhaps replace that piece.

hmm looks like I'll have to unbolt the entire seat to replace the buckle.

Maybe i'll just try cutting the sensor wire and solder it together before the buckle so that it always thinks the belt is buckled... is this a bad idea?

wow, never seen so many wires under a seat.... heat seater, and motors..

if you look from underneath and behind the driver seat, there is a wire snaking up towards the seat belt buckle. follow that to the white connector.

undo the white connector and that will get rid of the annoying seat belt blinking light
