New owner here as of last night!

99 LX with 60k miles, one owner (older couple). Absolute perfect condition, traded on an RV, so the spoils go to me! Flew out to Ohio to pick up and drive back yesterday during the first big storm of the year. She performed perfectly in the slick stuff.

I just saw 91TB78 at the Pentagon City Mall and his LX is in great shape- beautiful paint, interior is excellent!

Nice looking LX, congratulations!

We need more pics :bounce:

60k miles, nice. Where in OH, and to where is home?

Amherst, outside of Cleveland. I drove the 450 miles to Baltimore, which we call home.

The vehicle is solid, but have to admit that the ride is like a big pillow. Must be the ride height and the AHC.

Forgot to mention the color is River Rock Mica, which I love. It's almost a grey, but not. I was dead set on a more standard color, but really happy with this.

Thanks guys. I'll work on getting more pics up. I the mean time I am soaking up as much knowledge about the rig as possible on here. I'm focusing on preventative maintenance (synthetics on all drivetrain elements), do the timing belt in the next few thousand miles since its original with only 60k, but at 14 years old, and a couple small improvements:

Commenced:
1. Xenon depot hid kit for low beams.
2. Weathertech mats
3. New hood struts from Lou's eBay store
4. New tail lift struts from Lou's store (not as bad as the fronts, but still a little tired)
5. Amsoil 75-90 Severe Gear in front, rear, and transfer case. Amsoil transmission fluid for the tranny.
6. I picked up a trailer hitch from Louis, here on the classified section. I know, opposite of most members here who are more hardcore than I, but I need the capability to add my bike rack and luggage basket from the hitch with my 3 kids.

Future:
7. Researching best place to do 90k service since the rig is plenty old enough.
8. Pepping for front bearing repack and while I'm at it, new brake rotors and pads. I like to start fresh. Not in a hurry, since the brakes are just fine.
9. Replacement headunit since I've got the dreaded Err03 code. Not in a hurry on this one since the nakamichi still works on radio.
10. Flush AHC with new fluid.

That's it for now. Possibly bigger wheels and tires, but the stock 16s have Michelin LTXs with plenty of tread and work well in the basic trail and snow/ice conditions.

Nice LX

That's my favorite color but im biased :)

Yes, the color of your wheels looks great! Is that the Duplicolor "graphite"?

I believe that's the color. Wheels we're painted by mr paflytyer. He did a great job on painting them but ended up selling them to me before he got to use them.

Another poser shot.

Btw i have 77k now on my LX. Just did the timing belt last month. The belt looked like it go another 30k but my water pump was showing signs of leakage at the weep hole. Find a knowledgeable cruiser mechanic then buy your parts from Sam @ Lowe toyota. He has awesome prices and free shipping too.

Great suggestion on parts from Sam. Not sure who I will have do my t belt and water pump, but think I should have some time to research.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Yup after all was said and done i paid half of what my local dealer wanted and my mechanic is a friend who works at toyota. Heck i don't have to even leave my house and the parts show in a week!
