Hello. I just bought a 2002 100, one owner, dealer maintained LC with 134,000 miles and it runs great, but I noticed that upon starting it up in the morning, I get some fogging coming out of one of the vents. It comes out of the vent to the right of the steering wheel. The a/c blows cold on the highway and around town, but I have noticed that the air coming out of the vents becomes warmer when in heavy traffic. It has been hot and humid in Houston lately, but neither my wife's LX470 nor my FJ62 have this issue. Any suggestions? There is not a noticeable smell to the fogging, there is always water under the truck after parking it a while, and i don't see any oil leaks. I have noticed a fine layer of oil in the engine bay, but i don't know if that was from the previous owner, dealer prep, etc.

I had the same fogging happen a week or so before my ac stopped blowing cold. My dealer appointment is next week. Either I'll grab info from here for the dealer or the other way around. Time will tell.

Low Freon. Need to get it checked for a leak. Remember, a/c systems are sealed, so if it blows cold then warm, your Freon level is low. You can do the A/C Pro thing, but that is just a bandaid and not a real fix.

When you have it checked out, make sure they inspect the line going to the rear ac. Mine is a 2002 and I had two pinholes in that line. Replaced and charged up the system (dealer), and now works like new again.
