Hello,

I'm needing to know the exact location for the placement of the lower hinge(s) of a barn-door tailgate setup.

If you have a barn-door type tailgate on your 40-series truck, and the truck is accessible for you to do so (or when it so is), would you please let me know the centerline-to-centerline measurement of the bottom pair of bolts on the barn-door's upper hinge to that of the upper pair of bolts on the barn-door's lower hinge?

And will you confirm for me the barn-door's lower hinge has an upper & lower bolt spacing of 3-inches?

Thank you in kind,
Marc

Any information on this? Would someone here mind to measure the
vertical distance of the bolt-hole separation of their barn-doors, that
I can place lower hinges on my own '40? Thanks !! ~marc

Not sure if there are changes over the years or not. Also my bad. Doors are amby style soft doors though I doubt they differ.

On my truck (1984) there is just over 3" spacing on the bolts 77.5mm. 182mm spacing between the lower hinge top bolt and the upper hinge bottom bolt. That said I would get the doors and hinges in hand and measure first just to be sure.
