Needed Primer Pump HJ60

I want to replace the primer pump on my 87 HJ60. Anyone have one, or have some advise to point me in a new direction? Thanks

there's also a bosch part number, ( that I don't have on me) that's less than half the price, and seems to be readily available at most diesel shops.

If sticking with Toyota isn't important, you can also get a DELPHI pump and filter unit at most tractor parts places for a very good price.

delphi primer pump? I have not heard of that one yet.


I will post the bosch number tonight. PM if I forget.

The bosch one is better IMOP than stock. No screw to unscrew, leak or whatnot.

Buy local. Don't order from 4wheel for a part like this. Much better to get to know your local fuel injection shop. If they sell denso or bosch parts you can get what you need local.

Go to Diamond Diesel they will get you a rebuilding kit or a new pump. You will need the pump number. It's on the metal tag riveted to the pump.

Delphie / CAV assembly with a pump is what I 'm refering to Brown Bear. I ordered just the Delphie assembly in from Hiflo in Australia when i bought injectors from them. I wanted to put in a pre-filter as the Nissan filters are expensive and mine was getting gummed up every couple months from the Bio clean-out. This Delphie / CAV assembly also can be had with a primer pump: http://hiflo.com.au/fuel_filtration.cfm. I was kind of shocked top see them at one of the local Kubota tractor dealer (Avenue Machinery) sitting on the wall after not finding it at the local fuel injection shop or Lordco. I was actually looking for fittings at the time. I also found out that Avenue Machinery was the only place that carried a wide selection of metric diesel fuel system system fittings. Not sure what Valley Fuel Injection does when they have to work on a Japanese or European Diesel because they didn't have a clue (what's new ) when I asked them.

ah I understand the delphi pump.... but if your hand pump is shot you still have to replace it, or plug it.
