Guys,

I learned the hard way that ironman snorkel does require antenna relocation. I need to get a whip style antenna. The pep boys model is not secure and has horrible reception. Any advice??

I thought they made one that did not require relocation, might want to give Eli a call.

Ironman was providing bad info. Their snorkel does require relocation of antenna on NA spec'd vehicles.

A few members with the older style Safari snorkel have been able to make the OE power antenna work. Try searching member Val678.

Great lead. Thanks much!

I don't have a snorkel, but my antenna's been acting a bit finicky. I'm thinking of getting a roof mount antenna. Should be a pretty simple install. I'd have to plug up the hole in the fender (or maybe install a CB antenna?) and figure out what to do with the antenna button.

If you want to ask Val678 anything let me know and I'll text him. He doesnt frequent 'mud anymore.

I had a 'mud member in Kuwait send me an OEM Toyota 100 series manual antenna that fit well with my old style Safari Snorkel(same design as the Ironman snorkel).

Yes, it's very irritating. I should have stuck with an ARB product. :(

But it is an ARB product. Just the one they choose to improve a few years back.
