I took my LX 570 for its 30k mile service today. Dealership called and said it is time for new brakes.

What pads and rotors should I go with? Or just use stock parts from Sewell?

I'll be doing the work myself since 1) I enjoy working on my car and 2) $800 bucks for a 4 wheel brake job is nuts!

Thanks

Awesome. How is the dust with those pads. I might just need pads. I'm going to measure the thickness of the rotors when I get home. I might just throw them on a lathe if they have life in them.

Makes me chuckle. I bitch when I have to change my pads every 11,000 KMS. slighlty heavier TLC.

imagine the faces of the people, when they ask me how often they need to change the pads on their 4000kg and 4600kg land cruisers (FB6 & FB7). 9 times out of 10 they have never been trained on how to drive these "modified" vehicles.

But i will second the centric/stoptec "Fleet" pads (or know as the 306 series) that is what we use in the armored industry a lot. They will eat up your rotors though and can get dusty. I believe they have a low dust version out now "Street Performance" (309 series).
