I'm lost and am looking for any suggestions on bleeding a clutch on my Disco (first problem right there).

I just replaced the slave cylinder and was trying to bled the clutch but can't get any further than one puff of air and then the pedal sticks on the floor. Tried pumping and eveything and still nothing.

i have bench bled the master and still the same problem.

Tried to gravity bleed and nothing happened in about an hour, no fluid or any movement of air, no change in the master level.

I have no idea what to do next.

Anybody have any idea. The lines are clear as I can blow air through them when not attached to the master or slave. Master is good because I can bench bleed it and it builds up pressure. Slave is brand new.

Don't have any clue what to do other than pay to have it towed to the rover place and then pay to have them bleed it.

It's really pissing me off.

Thanks for all your help guys :flipoff2:

If anyone ever needs to borrow a pressure bleeder let me know. I now have one.

Sorry, but I personally do not want any Land Rover karma ever again. ;)

Hahaha, where is the spice in your life? You obviously aren't spontaneous and in it for the adventure. j/k

I'm working my way out. Down to one rover and up to two Toyota's so we got them on the ropes.

I had a bad master cylinder. Apparently once the o-ring goes, no fluid flows.

Put a new master on, pressure bled and full pedal.

Don't tell me that Flounder. I've got a new one on my 40 that I'm having a hell of a time bleeding...

Did you get this working? You can borrow my bleeder if you want. It works great.

I messed around with mine for about 4 days and was ready to puch the thing off the cliff when Larry Harrell told me to change the master. I did and it fixed the problem.

You might have air in the line that you just can't get out. My pedal was all the way to the floor and I could not build up any pressure at all.

Let me know if you need this thing.

Chad

I'll let you know when I get back in the US. I'm gone for another 2 weeks, then it'll be time to take the top off, and get my clutch working for some summer driving.

Thanks
