Need some acurate info- 70 drum axle WMS

I have a line on a set of cable lockers from a drum brake 70 to pop into my 40- but I need to know exactly how much wider the axles are. THe thing is that if the wheel sticks out from the fender at all the I can not pass the inspection and I'm pretty close as it is with only millimeters to spare.

It was maybe an inch or two wider IIRC. I put a FF RAX from a 70 series on my 40 to retrofit lockers a while back, but I was running stock wheels and skinny tires so I had no problems with track width extending outside the wheel well.

If it winds up too wide for inspection, go with fender flares I do not miss the annual JCI inspection fleecing

It says here that the track width is the same for a 40 and a 70 at 1400mm on the rear axle.

you could stick rims on with less backspacing, that would decrease the track

Thanks guys- I'm going to call the guy that is selling the lockers tomorrow and see if I can get a tight measure off of him.

I bought them- the rear measures 1407mm- very close if not exactly the same as the 40 SF. I'll get the front later.
