I have never hunted Elk or Antelope in AZ and have no clue as to which areas are preferred. Any and all advice/experience/terrain info would be greatly appreciated. This is my first year in the draw so the odds are slim. The more info given = bigger and better thank you  Thanks, Diemer

The best pronghorn areas are around Kingman/Seligman IMO...
Re: Elk, check out the odds on draw/success rates, it's a crap shoot, I haven't scored a tag in several years (I'm pickey though)..
Best of luck!

In my opinion, the preferred units for elk are 1 and 27. However, hard to get drawn.

A lot of folks like unit 6, around the Flagstaff area. If you are putting in for an archery hunt, your chances of getting drawn go way up.

Unit 10 for lope. I have heard that around presscott is good. As for elk the 7 units are good. Just so you know its harder than hell to get drawn for goat in this state.

Diemer:

Elk, any of the following: 5b south, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7e, 7w

Antelope: 10, even though I got my Pronghorn in 7w.

Heed Splitshots advise on analyzing the draw odds, # of permits, etc to help with your choice.

Good luck!
