Need new trail locations near phoenix

My lady friend and I are wanting to find a new trail this weekend (hopefully camp friendly with a lake or stream close by). I'm new to the trails out here and have only been to a couple. If anyone has any idea's and can tell me how to get there it would make me a happy wheeler

There's a campground between the highway and the river before you cross the bridge going north.

There are some other trails around if you want to make a weekend of it. Check out the petroglyphs NW of town. Ask around.
