Hiya- I'm Paul from Summerville. I have a 79' 40 that came with an Aisin carb- in- a- box I would like to have installed. The truck currently has a GM carb (as described to me),which works well enough,but I really want to get back to stock. The more I read, the more convinced I am that this job is far beyond my wrenching skills.The Aisin carb and linkage are sparkling and said to be rebuilt. I would like to find a mechanic familiar w/ the 2f and stock carb who can swap the carbs out. Any recomendations would be very helpful!
I bought the truck from another mud member, Steven in Greensboro, last December. Steven is a young man of character,and was a pleasure to do business with.He has continued to provide me with info on the truck, and is a true enthusiast. The truck is my daily driver,and I hope to put her back to stock as time and money allow.Her pictures were on the old North State site ,I think they still are. Thanks - Paul
